As a “nationally designated cultural heritage historic site number 284” the former Seoul Station is a historic and symbolic space that embodies the joys and sorrows of our nation’s modern and contemporary history. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has established a multidisciplinary cultural complex that could be boasted around the world and also cherished by its citizens by restoring the former Seoul Station to its original appearance and officially launching the space in April 2012.
